Two Barns

My buildings are still a bit wonky but I was working plein aire. This is a small farm set back just a bit from the ocean. At some point I may do this again on larger paper and change my angle of view, from this direction you can't see the ocean but I like this side of the barns. The road curves around to the back sides of the barns (they don't sit as nicely) where you can see past them and the pasture out to the sea. It a beautiful view.

It looks very cozy and tucked in there. Another view would be fun to see.

Thank you Teri. I still need to learn about making up shadows first because the light would be coming from the opposite side on the buildings than it will on the rest of the landscape.

It's so great to see you posting again and yes! your work just keeps getting better and better. But do use one of those big sheets some day soon! And don't forget to use a big brush when you do. Then it will feel just like using a smaller sheet (only bigger). I hope you are well and enjoying life.
